The death of a man who was found in the woods down an embankment in Brattleboro, Vermont last week has been ruled a homicide, according to NBC affiliate WPTZ.
Crews with the Brattleboro Fire Department responded to a call for a person down an embankment off Cedar Street on Aug 2., according to WPTZ. There they found the body of 59-year-old Timothy Barbour.
The Brattleboro Police Department was called in and the death was deemed suspicious. An autopsy report ruled the case a homicide.
BRATTLEBORO, Vt. (WCAX) - A Brattleboro man appeared in court on Friday, accused of second-degree murder in connection with a baseball bat beating earlier this month.
On Aug. 2 the body of Timothy Barbour, 59, of Brattleboro, was found down an embankment off Cedar Street in Brattleboro. His death was later determined to be a homicide. Now, two weeks later police say they’ve arrested the man responsible for Barbour’s murder.
“The cause of death is blunt force trauma,” Brattleboro Assistant Police Chief Jeremy Evans said.
Matthew Dulmaine, 25, of Brattleboro, is being held without bail pending his arraignment Monday. He is charged with one count of second-degree murder
