Matt (Guitar) Murphy, a renowned blues guitarist who played with The Blues Brothers and jammed with musical heavyweights Muddy Waters, Etta James and Chuck Berry, died Friday. He was 88. Murphy's nephew Floyd Murphy Jr. confirmed his death in a Facebook post. It was unclear how he died. Nick Knox, longtime drummer for the influential psychobilly band the Cramps, died Friday at the age of 60.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The brother of Sacramento Kings forward Zach Randolphwas shot and killed early Saturday outside of a bar in the Indiana city where the two grew up, authorities said.

Police said that an officer heard gunfire at around 5 a.m. and found Roger Randolph bleeding between two cars outside of Hop's Blues Room in Marion, which is about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis. They said investigators don't know the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but they don't think it was a random attack.

Roger Randolph, who was 35, had several brushes with the law, including for a 2004 shooting at a nightclub that wounded three people and landed him in prison.

Roger Randolph was sentenced to three years in prison in 2005 for his role in the nightclub shooting in Anderson, which is about 30 miles south of Marion and is where court records say he had been living when he was killed. The shooting apparently stemmed from an argument on the dance floor.

Zach Randolph was at the club that night and was questioned, but he wasn't charged.

Roger Randolph was charged last year with OWI, the Indiana equivalent of driving under the influence. There was a hearing last week in that case, which was unresolved.

Zach Randolph led Marion High School to a state championship in 2000 before heading to Michigan State and then the NBA. In addition to the Kings, he has played for the Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, LA Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies. He is a two-time NBA All-Star.

In a statement, Kings general manager Vlade Divac called Randolph's death "tragic," adding "our prayers, heartfelt condolences and thoughts are with Zach and his family during this painful and difficult time."

The Olympic alpine skier and wife Morgan Beck Miller shared the sad news Monday that 19-month-old Emeline Grier had died, with PEOPLE confirming the little girl had drowned in a pool in the neighborhood of Coto de Caza, California, over the weekend.

“It happened around 6:30 in the evening on Saturday night,” Orange County Fire Authority Captain Steve Concialdi tells PEOPLE. “They were at a neighbor’s house, talking to the neighbors inside, and somehow the little girl made her way to the backyard pool.”

“She was only missing for just a short amount of time and Mom turned and was looking for her and didn’t see her right next to her,” he continues. “Mom went straight to the backyard to where the pool was. The child was in the pool. The mom pulled out the little girl and they started CPR immediately.”

Concialdi confirms drowning as the cause of death even though Emeline was only in the water “a very short amount of time,” explaining, “As our guys approached the front door, they just handed the child to our firefighter paramedics” and adding that his team wasn’t “on the scene for long” before Emeline was transferred to Mission Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
