Video: Stephen Jackson reveals concern over NBA’s resumption of play

Former NBA small forward and champion Stephen Jackson is not in favor of the 2019-20 season resuming at Walt Disney World in sunny Orlando, Florida.
Jackson, who was very close friends with George Floyd, says the NBA coming back is going to take all the attention off of the Black Lives Matter movement and the racial injustices in America.

This is basically what Brooklyn Nets superstar point guard Kyrie Irving was trying to say on the call with over 80 players on Friday.
As soon as the NBA starts on ESPN or TNT, people will be back in the house watching sports instead of protesting on the streets or by using other platforms. Stephen Jackson doesn’t want that to happen since he’s still seeking justice for George Floyd and the other unarmed African Americans who have been gunned down by policemen. Floyd and Jackson go a long way, even fondly addressing one another using the nickname “Twin.”
22 teams are set to play in the “bubble” games at Walt Disney World. However, after Friday’s call where Irving and other players voiced their concerns about playing again, it’s not entirely certain that the 2019-20 season will resume. NBA owners, though, are likely going to do whatever it takes to play since the league could lose around $1 billion if the campaign is canceled altogether.
Before games were suspended, the Milwaukee Bucks had the top record in the NBA, just like last season. Meanwhile, out West, the Los Angeles Lakers are in first place, with the L.A. Clippers 5.5 games back.
